Smt. Dhaklubai Dhondu Thakare Samajik & Shaikshnik Santha’s Thakurpada, Tal - Bhiwandi Dist - Thane is pleased to declare the opening of “ Mahendra Laxman Mhatre Vyavsayik Mahavidyalay from the Academic Year 2009- 2010. The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Initially the College has been permitted on non - grant basis. The college is duly recognized by the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Mumbai University.

The Smt. Dhaklubai Dhondu Thakare Samajik & Shaikshnik Santhas, Thakurpada was founded in 2009 under the able guidance of Sri Dr. Balasaheb Salve and the local people of Ranjnoli, Thakurpada & Bhiwandi. It primarily catered the educational needs of the rural areas of Thane district including Pimplas, Sarvali, Sonale, Temgharpada, Chaudharpada, Gove, Bhadhwad, Pimpalghar. The institution was duly register Vide Mh/1271/09/Thane.

The aim of the institution is to provide education from pre- primary to the higher levels education to the local students. The institution also aims at developing good characters & personality of the young minds.In 2009-10, First Year BSC (IT), BSC (CS) & BMS Classes were started in our own Building with 20 students on the roll.

In the year 2010-11 we have also started BA & BCOM. The first batch appeared for the final year examination for BSC ( IT ), BSC ( CS ) & BMS in the year 2011-12. The final examination of BA & BCOM was held in the year 2012-13 . The management had purchased a plot of Land & planning to construct specious building for Professional and Degree college Students.

Taking into view the needs of local residents, English Medium School was added in the year 2013-14. As a natural growth of students, a Junior College with the faculties of Arts, Commerce & Science were started in the year 2015-2016. The school with English medium, Junior College & Degree College at present have more than 925 students on the roll. In the last 14 years the Institution promoted education at various levels, during these years there had been constant demand of the local population extending from Ranjnoli onwards to Pimplas, Sarvali, Sonale, Temgharpada, Chaudharpada, Gove, Bhadhwad, Pimpalghar, Kon for Higher Collegiate education. It had also like cherished dream of the Management to extend the present educational facilities up to the establishment of a higher education.

With the permission sought from the Education Dept. & the University of Mumbai the long standing dream is finally fulfilled. The management hopes that with the munificence & patronage of the people, the degree college will take strides in the field of Higher Education. The degree college will meet the educational needs mainly of the middle class & the lower middle class of Ranjnoli area including the cosmopolitan students . The management is confident that with the blessing of its well wishers sympathizers the Degree College will be an ideal educational institution in Bhiwandi ,Dist. Thane.

S.Y.B.A / S.Y.Bcom admissions will be granted to eligible students as per the directives issues from time to time by the University of Mumbai & Education Department, Government of Maharashtra. Admissions will be granted strictly on merit. The Principal reserves the right to admit the students.
